Couple dies in car crash as driver loses control

A serious accident has taken place this Monday morning in the Prrenjas area, where a 55-year-old man from Devolli has lost control of the vehicle, ending up in the Legajca.

Police revealed that the 55-year-old man and his 50-year-old wife passed away.

Meanwhile, the Police and Firefighter Services went to the scene to remove the bodies of the 2 citizens who were in the vehicle, while the investigative group continues its work to fully clarify the circumstances of this accident.

“Around 07:45, on the “Librazhd-Prrenjas” road axis, citizen A. Y., about 55 years old, resident of Devoll, driving a “Volkswagen” type vehicle, lost control over the direction of the vehicle and as a result the vehicle went off the road and fell into the Lengajca stream.

Citizen A. Y. and his wife, citizen M. Y., about 50 years old, who was a passenger in this vehicle, lost their lives in this accident”, said the police.
