The 22-year-old Joy Ayoko, who was brutally raped in Tirana, has passed away in Kenya, as confirmed by her mother, Ruth Abongo. The young woman left Albania at the end of January to be treated in her hometown, after she was admitted to the Trauma hospital since August last year.
Earlier on, was brutally raped and thrown from the second floor of the apartment where she lived on “Pandeli Evangjeli” street in Tirana.
Since then the Kenyan was in critical condition and needed specialist neurological care. She was in the apartment with 5 people, four of whom Albanians.
According to reports, a fight took place between the 22-year-old and the persons, and then they brutally raped her and threw her from the balcony of the second floor.
But even though several months have passed since this serious event, there are still no concrete names of suspects from the authorities.
