Today, January 17, Albanians commemorate the 555th anniversary of the death of the National Hero Gjergj Kastriot Skenderbeu.
On this day, the Municipality of Tirana also organized tributes in honor of the figure of Skenderbeu. The Mayor of the Municipality, Erion Veliaj, has placed a wreath of flowers in honor of our national hero Gjergj Kastriot Skenderbeu, next to his memorial in “Skenderbej” Square.
He died at the age of 63 on January 17, 1468 in Lezha.
