After arriving in Himare, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is holding a meeting with the residents where he was welcomed with Greek flags.
During his speech, the Greek Prime Minister stated that he will support Albania in the European Union, but his condition is that Albania ensures every right of the Greek community in our country.
“I want them to know that I was, am and will be a supporter of Albania in the EU. Albania’s obligation is to respect your full rights. In the right for your children and grandchildren to learn Greek as you are doing, or even in the right to property. And I believe that all this will be resolved and I personally guarantee it. The Greek government is by your side and will do that,” said the Greek Prime Minister.
Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis is expected to hold meetings with Greek minorities in Finic and Dropull. This is the second visit of Mitsotakis to Albania within a short period of two weeks, but this time it is officially dedicated to the issue of the Greek minority in Albania.
