The Foreign Minister of Greece, Nikos Dendias, said today in Tirana, that Greece will support Albania at every step on its path towards integration into the European Union.
Dendias made this statement in a joint conference with the Foreign Minister, Olta Xhaçka. The latter expressed her thanks for the support provided by Greece.
“Constructive role for backward problems. Greece is supportive of Albania on the path of integrity towards the EU. Thank you Niko.”
“With counterpart Nikos Dendias, in a discussion on the bilateral relationship between our two countries, the European perspective of the Western Balkans and security and stability in the region and beyond.” said Olta Xhaçka.
Meanwhile, the Greek foreign minister, Nikos Dendias, has emphasized that his arrival in Tirana is the last step after the meetings in Athens. According to him, these visits show the Mitsotakis government’s approach to the stability of the Western Balkans.
“We have in front of us a concrete step to advance cooperation.” said Dendias.
The Greek minister also focused on the situation in the north of Kosovo, saying that he underlined that the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia is the only solution.
“The escalation of the case, in the north of Kosovo. In the meetings I had both in Pristina and Belgrade, we underlined the process of dialogue to find a solution,” said Dendias.
Then the Greek minister stopped at the delimitation of the border, saying that sending the case to The Hague is a new chapter between the two countries.
