Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the meeting of the Albanian government with the government of North Macedonia was productive, as he also mentioned the signed agreements.
In a joint conference with the Macedonian counterpart, Rama said that the agreed acts create a complex infrastructure in order to increase the interaction between the parties.
“We had a productive meeting, we finalized 21 agreed acts in a process of intense interaction, part of the organic work of our governments that are in constant interaction with each other.
We also agreed on 3 initiatives proposed by Artan Grubi related to the dry port in Struga, the opening of the new border crossing and the Eighth Corridor. We have agreed that as far as the preliminary project of the dry port is concerned, the Albanian government will undertake it within the framework of the agreement it has with the Dutch company.
We believe that we create a complex infrastructure in order to increase the volume of interaction between our countries, which has been the primary goal and remains the primary goal of the Open Balkans, but also of Belrin Porces. We are meeting at a challenging moment for Europe, the western wing of Russia, of which we are a part, and we, even though we did not start the war in Ukraine, are suffering the consequences”, said Rama.
