Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the US representative to the United Nations, arrived yesterday in Albania where she will pay an official visit.
She will meet with the country’s prime minister and President Bajram Begaj.

“He just landed in Albania for two days of meetings with civil society and government leaders. Albania is a steadfast ally and a critical partner in the UN Security Council, especially in the face of Russia’s brutal war in Ukraine,” the ambassador emphasized yesterday in a tweet.
Linda Thomas-Greenfield was received by Ambassador Yuri Kim who accompanied her to the capital, introducing Tirana to her.
“The pleasure of taking a tour of the ‘Skenderbej’ square, which bears the name of the National Hero of Albania. Thank you for the companionship and warm hospitality in Tirana, Ambassador Yuri Kim”, emphasized Thomas-Greenfield.
Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the United States representative to the United Nations, will visit Albania and Poland from November 6 to 9 to reiterate the United States’ unwavering support for these two staunch allies working with us to respond to the crisis caused by Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine.
