New details have been revealed regarding the serious event that took place on Wednesday evening in the premises of Police Station No. 3 in Tirana. The victim Lear Kurti is suspected of being a drug user and suffering from epilepsy.
Journalist Xhensila Kodra informs abcnews.al that at the moment when he was escorted to the premises of the Police Station, Kurti started showing health problems.
“The ambulance was called immediately, but because it was delayed, the officers sent him with the police car to the hospital, where he arrived without signs of life. Meanwhile, AMP announced earlier that the young man died at the hospital.
As soon as the patrol asked him to present his identification documents, Citizen L. K., 32 years old, ran away. The police officers gave chase and managed to stop him on “Don Bosco” street, then escorting him to the premises of Police Station No. 3 in Tirana.
During his escort, this citizen showed health problems as soon as he arrived at the premises of the Police Station. The help of the Emergency Service was immediately requested and because his health situation has worsened, this citizen was sent by the police to the Trauma Hospital, where he died”, announced the Police Supervision Agency.
His friend, identified as Zyhdi Spahiu, accompanied the victim. The latter was caught drunk in his vehicle.
Spahiu was released, but was accompanied by a fine due to the dose of alcohol.
It is suspected that the victim and his friend were initially together, but then separated when the police approached.
Lear Kurti has 3 criminal records, theft and drugs. He is known as a friend of Pajtim Serjan’s group.
