Democratic MP Ervin Salianji, during a press conference from the Presidency of the Assembly, also spoke about the preparations that the opposition is making for the local elections of 2023. Despite the fact that the DP is currently divided, Salianji stated that he is convinced that the opposition will come out with common candidates.
According to him, if the DP will come up with two candidates, those who have leadership roles will bear responsibility in front of the Democrats.
Meanwhile, regarding the case that is currently in the Appeal for the leadership of the DP, the democratic deputy said that the court should have accelerated the decision.
“The court had to speed up the decision, since it is about the entire function of the institutions and the opposition, but beyond that, the issue of DP is an issue that is resolved with the will of its representatives, the biggest burden will be on those who lead it, they have the obligation to provide solutions and come up with a candidate, any deviation for personal interests, we will be here and we will comment on it.
They will be responsible to the Democrats by reducing the value of the confrontation with the political opponent that is Edi Rama. I am convinced that DP and the opposition as a whole will come up with a candidate. I will make every effort to have a candidate.
