The Minister of Economy and Finance, Delina Ibrahimaj, affirms that incomes have increased by 15.9% in Albania, compared to last year, while emphasizing that there has been positive progress in domestic production.

So she expressed optimism for the third quarter of the year, saying that an acceleration of the growth of the economy in the country is expected compared to the second quarter of the year.

Ibrahimaj also mentioned the energy sector. She said that this has been a dry year, and that imports are down.

“We have made positive progress in local production. The manufacturing sector has grown. This has been a dry crop, and that is why we have had to import.

Import of energy has been decreasing. The rate of increase in VAT is significantly higher than the increase in price rates. Revenues are 15.9% more compared to a year ago. The third quarter of the year will have an accelerated course of economic growth in the country compared to the second quarter. As for tourism, we had an increase in tourism turnover by 30%.

The expectation is also related to the number of businesses we have registered. There is a decline in suspended businesses. As a level of new businesses, we have an increase of 10.2%. if we look at the indicators of foreign trade, we have had an increase in imports and exports in value. Imports have increased by 25%.

Increase in imports in volume and value. The reflection of the decline is related to the decrease in demand due to very high prices. As for the sectors that are related to the production activity in the country, mainly the manufacturing experts have experienced an increase in value and volume.

As for government spending in 8 months, we had 1.4% higher spending. Based on the information, we think that the third quarter of the year will have an accelerated course of economic growth compared to the second quarter”, Ibrahimaj said at the press conference on the economic progress so far.
