In a statement to the media, the head of the LSI, Monika Kryemadhi, also requested an investigation for the Minister of Finance, Delina Ibrahimaj, regarding the incinerator affair.
According to her, Ibrahimaj is directly implicated in the incinerator affair, as her actions and inactions have influenced the non-complete investigation of these financial crimes by the tax administration that she led in 2018.
“The total value of these incinerator-related financial crimes, as far as we have documented, amounts to 30 million dollars. In response to these shocking facts made public, the Minister of Finance of the government stated in the Assembly that they have known about these fictitious companies since 2018.
However, even when they investigated these fictitious companies, the tax administration refused to investigate these companies that issued fictitious invoices to deceive the state, along with the real beneficiaries of the fictitious invoices. Which are the incinerator companies, Klodian Zoto’s company, subcontractor of the incinerators.
Therefore, today with the addition of the report, I have asked SPAK to also investigate the Minister of Finance, the former Director of Taxes, Mrs. Ibrahimaj, for her direct involvement with the incinerator affair, as her actions and inactions have influenced the non-investigation full of these financial crimes from the tax administration that she led in 2018. The clarification of the incinerator affair is not a political battle for LSI, but it is what every citizen of the republic deserves.
Therefore, on May 27, 2022, as the complainant, I sent the second request for information to SPAK regarding the legal status of the criminal case”.
