Albania takes over the leadership of the United Nations Security Council for the first time today. This day, Prime Minister Edi Rama has described as historic for the country, in the field of international relations.
In a video message shared on his Facebook account, the head of government states that on June 2, the first representative event of Albania in its first presidency will be dedicated to “Strengthening accountability and justice for serious violations of of international law ”.
Rama also says that Albania is already privileged to be able to give voice to its convictions and “lead the United Nations Security Council with all our will and passion for what we strongly believe.”
