The Socialist Party will convene the Presidency on Friday at 17:00. This move in the ranks of the Socialists comes in the framework of the fourth round for the election of the new president. The Socialists are already in charge of electing the president and are expected to come up with a concrete name.

Sources for ABC inform that after the presidency there will be a meeting of the parliamentary group of the Socialist Party where the names will be discussed and then it will pass for voting. Meanwhile, a special session is expected to take place on Saturday to elect the country’s new president.

AGENDA:

1. Information on the collection of candidacies for party leaders in 61 municipalities of the country and the further process;
2. Instruction on the duties of the delegates in order to implement the political calendar approved by the Assembly;
3. Draft decision on the approval of the salary level of the Executive Secretaries at the regional level and the Executive Secretaries of the party at the municipal level. Draft decision on approving the salary level of the organizational structure of the central apparatus of the Socialist Party;
4. The progress of the procedures for the election of the President of the Republic and the decision-making of the Socialist Party;
