The Commanding Leader of the Democratic Party, Enkelejd Alibeaj, has convened the Presidency of the Democratic Party today.
Abc journalist Juxhin Mustafaraj reports that in this meeting will be discussed the agenda of the PD group, while present in the hall are only MPs Oriola Pampuri and Arbi Agalliu, while Luciano Boçi and Ervin Salianji are absent.
The division of the Democrats that started with the boycott of about 35 deputies of the parliamentary group in the Assembly convened by the Re-establishment Committee has started to be reflected in all the governing bodies of the Democratic Party.
This split of the parliamentary group comes at a time when the majority is constantly calling on the opposition regarding the negotiations for the election of the new President.
Alibeaj has expressed his conviction for being involved in the negotiations with the majority for the election of the President of the Republic, and even together with the deputies of the group have proposed the draft how the process of choosing the new name should be done.
On the other hand, the Re-establishment Commission through the National Council of the Democratic Party set through a resolution conditions for the majority for a serious process regarding the election of the new head of state. He excluded Alibeaj’s group from this process.
