The race for the leader of the Democratic Party is made official

The Commission for the Organization and Control of Electoral Operations in the Democratic Party has formalized the two candidacies that will go to the race for the party leader. It will be Ibsen Elezi who competes against Sali Berisha in order to take over the leadership of the party, while many others did not dare or withdrew from the race.

“At the end of the deadline for submitting candidacies for chairman of the DPA, they have expressed interest in this race, in accordance with Decision no. 12 dated 03.05.2022: 1. Mr. Sali Berisha, 2. Mr. Ibsen Elezi ”, announces the Commission for Organization and Control of Electoral Operations in PD.

Berisha’s supporters have completed the reorganization of party structures in the districts and are now expected to finalize everything with the election of the DP leader. It remains to be seen how many votes Ibsen Elezi will receive against Berisha.
