Multiple shots have been fired Saturday at the son of a police officer in Shijak area of Durres, but fortunately he was neither killed, nor injured. Orlando Paplekaj was traveling with his vehicle in Shijak, when persons moving with another vehicle opened fire on him.
The target of the assassination is learned to have been distributing gas cylinders and his father is a prison policeman, originally from Lekbibaj in Tropoja. Police services immediately went to the scene, set up checkpoints on all main and secondary roads, and surrounded the area.
The investigative group is at the scene and under the direction of the Prosecution, work continues to clarify the circumstances of the event, as well as to identify the perpetrators.
