US Ambassador Yuri Kim reacted after the report of the US State Department on human rights.
In her response, Kim said the United States would support democracy and justice reform, adding that human rights should include an independent judiciary free from political pressure, intimidation or corruption.
According to Kim, the US strongly supports justice reform to end impunity, accountability of corrupt officials and organized crime, and strengthening the rule of law in Albania.
“The United States is committed to putting democracy and human rights at the heart of our foreign policy. Read the State Department’s report on Human Rights. As noted in the report on Albania, human rights should include an independent judiciary, free from political pressure, intimidation or corruption. “The United States strongly supports justice reform to end impunity, accountability for corrupt officials and organized crime, and to strengthen the rule of law in Albania,” wrote US Ambassador Yuri Kim.
