22 arrest warrants have been issued by the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office, in an operation codenamed “Posta”. It is learned that the operation in question was organized against smuggled goods.
So far it is reported that 15 arrests have been executed while work continues to apprehend other persons. Sources for ABC report that the defendants carried out their activity on unregistered online sites while the goods were smuggled.
The arrest warrants issued are part of the “Fast Delivery” action when in November 2021 they seized goods worth 1 million Euros.
Investigations have been conducted by the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office, including Taxes and Customs. It is about cosmetics, clothes, etc. that were smuggled into Albania and then sold online avoiding tax bills.
