Democratic Parliamentary Group has reacted after the statements of former Prime Minister Berisha from Shkodra that he would not support any candidate for President, as according to him they would be Rama’s candidates.
In a reaction published on the Facebook page of the Democratic Party, the Parliamentary Group states that no discussion has yet begun on the candidacies for president, while reminding Berisha that he was not part of this group.
“The Democratic parliamentary group has not yet started any discussion regarding the issue of the President of the Republic. In the coming days, because it may be on the parliamentary agenda, this issue will be discussed with members of the group.
Nobody’s personal views, especially those who are not part of the Democratic parliamentary group, have nothing to do with the position and decision-making of the parliamentary group.
“Those who talk about this issue today, in fact, with the constitutional changes of 2008, have enabled Edi Rama to elect the president, simply with only his votes”, it is emphasized in the reaction.
“We are in opposition and I cannot propose a name. I do not vote for Edi Rama’s candidates because it means bringing his copy to the presidency.
