GJKKO( Serious Crimes Court) has left in prison the former MP Alqi Bllako, who was arrested the day before for corruption and abuse of duty in connection with the affair of the Fier incinerator.
Bllako went to the directorate of Tirana around 3 o’clock yesterday morning. He was alone, unaccompanied by family members or his defense counsel. 40 minutes later, BKH( National Bureau of Investigation) agents arrived at the Tirana police station, who interrogated him on charges of corruption and abuse of office for the Fier incinerator.
Bllako was handed over 12 hours after the court ordered his arrest. Police say Alqi Bllako surrendered last night. While SPAK announced that the decision of the special court that was taken yesterday at 15:45, was executed by the police at 3:30 yesterday morning. SPAK has asked the state police on March 30 to keep Alqi Bllako under surveillance so that he does not leave the territory.
The former socialist MP is accused of abuse of office and corruption, in connection with the affair of the incinerator in Fier. Bllako becomes the second official arrested in connection with the incinerator affair after Lefter Koka.
