The Assembly announced the vacancy after Alqi Bllako left the mandate of deputy. The Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Ermonela Felaj, informed the deputies in today’s session that the Assembly announces the vacancy and will notify the CEC for its completion.
“I inform you that the deputy Alqi Bllako has submitted to the Assembly the statement with which he informs the Assembly that he voluntarily submits the mandate. When the deputy resigns referring to Article 71 of the Constitution, his mandate ends. The Assembly announces the vacancy and notifies the vacancy to the CEC for its filling “, said Felaj.
As he had announced, yesterday Alqi Bllako handed over the mandate of the deputy, after the special prosecution requested his arrest. Around 15.00, the letter of the socialist deputy arrived in the Assembly.
Bllako did not show up physically and delivered the letter by mail. The meeting of the council of mandates, announced for yesterday at 18:00, was canceled after Blako decided to leave the mandate of the deputy himself to be made available to justice.
His place in the Assembly is expected to be taken by MP Pandeli Mjako who failed to win a seat. The former MP failed to break the quotient being being ranked 19th in the list of Tirana District, and consequently remained out of active politics.
