Prime Minister Edi Rama will convene today the leadership of the Socialist Party. The meeting will take place at 17:00 at the pink headquarters. The day before, Rama held a working meeting with some of the ministers and strategic investors in the Government Villa 31. The meeting lasted for more than an hour.
The meeting of the presidency comes at a time when there are important developments, following arrest warrants issued by the SPAK, among which is MP Alqi Bllako.
After the Special Prosecution requested the arrest as part of the incinerators file, MP Alqi Bllako announced his resignation. Through a post on social networks, the elected in the district of Tirana says that he is shocked by the request of SPAK, but does so out of obligation to clarify the truth before justice.
Blako says he does not need a shield insisting on his innocence. While the Council for Rules of Procedure, Mandates and Immunity of the Assembly was expected to convene today to review the SPAK request, Bllako himself took such a step by leaving the mandate.
Blako said that he could not wait to prove the truth and the pure right to his friends, and obviously to his enemies. Bllako’s place in the Assembly after leaving office is taken by Pandeli Majko, who was ranked 19th on Tirana’s list in the April 25 elections.
