Two citizens have been arrested by Korca police during the last 24 hours accused of drug trafficking.
Police suggest that the arrested are citizens F.B. 33 years old and Elvis Venxha 30 years old, both from the village of Mborje in Korça, who were caught with another 51.5 kilograms of suspected narcotic substance cannabis.
Sources for abcnews.al suggest that one of the detainees wanted to leave and collided with a vehicle, the police vehicle, where one of the police officers was slightly injured.
It is learned that the operation continues, as well as increased controls in Korça, while others are expected to be arrested in the following hours by the Korça police.
Operation Restart has been going on for months in the southeastern region, focusing on narcotics and their transportation inside and outside the country, making possible the arrest of 12 people so far and the seizure of 373.5 kilograms of cannabis narcotics.
