Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced victory in 5 of the 6 municipalities where elections were held yesterday. Rama congratulated the winners of the Municipality, Diber, Durres, Lushnje, Vora and Rrogozhina.
During his congratulation, Rama also focused on the situation in Ukraine, emphasizing that it makes impossible the legitimate taste of this victory.
“In the blink of an eye, the world we lived in has changed again. But unlike the temporary change that the pandemic has imposed on us, this change does not seem to be so temporary.
“War is killing and destroying the Ukraine, but it is inflicting the clutches of its influence everywhere, in markets large and small, where daily life is becoming more expensive hour by minute under the bombs of insecurity that war sows everywhere.” writes the Prime Minister.
“Yesterday’s election gave the Socialist Party neither more nor less than we expected, 5 out of 6 municipalities in the race.
Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all those who committed to this result, but above all thank you to the voters, who yesterday exercised their decision-making power in the interest of the community,” stated Rama.
