In the last 24 hours, 68 positive cases have been confirmed out of 397 tests performed in total. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection reports that unfortunately, two citizens could not win the battle with Covid19 in the infectious disease hospital, where they were being treated in intensive care as a result of severe symptoms caused by Covid19.
Patients 58 and 59 years old from Tirana, with some concomitant diseases, could not survive despite the efforts of doctors.
The situation in the infectious disease hospital is serious, where the health condition of patients in intensive care is aggravated and the number of intubated patients has increased.
Currently 83 patients are hospitalized, 10 patients are in intensive care and 4 of them are intubated in serious condition.
In the last 24 hours, 47 citizens have been recovered bringing the total number since to 1791 since the beginning of the epidemic. In Albania there are currently 1232 active cases with COVID19, mainly in Tirana, Shkodra, Kruja, Durres.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals on all citizens to respect the measures.
