A criminal group that carried out criminal activity in the field of distribution in quantities and doses of strong drugs heroin and cocaine was hit in Tirana, while 4 people were arrested. As part of the coded police operation “Pandora’s Box”, after a several-week investigation with proactive methods, 6 kg of heroin and cocaine and 1100 doses of drugs were seized.
“The coded police operation ‘Pandora’s Box’ is finalized after a several-week investigation with proactive methods. 4 citizens, members of a criminal group, are arrested. 6 kilograms of heroin and cocaine and 1100 doses of heroin and cocaine were seized.
Following the successive operations carried out by the Narcotics Investigation Section at the Tirana Local Police Directorate, to crack down on the criminal activity of distributing hard drugs, based on information intelligence that a criminal group was distributing in bulk and in doses, narcotics, heroin and cocaine, referred the materials to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Judicial District of Tirana, which registered the criminal proceedings in January of this year.
As a result of the several-week investigation under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Judicial District of Tirana, it became possible to collect the necessary evidence for members of a criminal group that distributed narcotics heroin and cocaine in different areas of Tirana.
Based on these evidences, the coded police operation “Pandora’s Box” was successfully organized and finalized.
As part of the operation, the following citizens were caught and arrested in the act:
B.F., 40 years old, resident of Tirana, leader of the criminal group
H.B., 41 years old, member of the criminal group
A.K, 45 years old, member of the criminal group
K.B., 20 years old, member of the criminal group.
From the control exercised in the residences of citizens B.F. and A.K., the Police found and seized as material evidence 6 kilograms of narcotics heroin and cocaine, respectively 3 kg 891 grams of suspected narcotics heroin and 2 kg 110 grams of narcotics cocaine, where one part was divided into 1100 doses ready for sale.
Also, large sums of money in euros and ALL, specifically 83,555 euros, 420,000 new ALL, 2 vehicles, 2 motorcycles, 3 electronic scales and 4 mobile devices were found and seized from the control. The investigation shows that these citizens acted in the form of a criminal group led by the citizen B.F., who procured the narcotic substance in large quantities and then supplied the distributors in doses.
From the investigations, it has become possible to identify the person who supplied cocaine and heroin to the citizen B.F., but for reasons of investigation, we do not disclose data as the operation is ongoing to catch and bring before the legal responsibility of other implicated persons in this criminal activity.
We emphasize the fact that only during the month of January 2023, 4 proactive procedures were successfully finalized by the Narcotics Investigation Section at the Tirana DVP,” the police said.
