The Tirana police made public the results of an anti-drug operation coded “Tentakulat” to crack down on criminal activity in the field of narcotics distribution in various areas of Tirana.
The director of the Tirana local police, Lorenc Panganika, announced that after an investigation of several months, the prosecutor’s office issued arrest warrants for 15 citizens, under the charge of distributing narcotics. Among the arrested is a girl, while 2 people are wanted.
Cocaine, heroin, cannabis, amount of money and other items used for this illegal activity were seized. Also, following this operation, 2 citizens were declared wanted and 14 other citizens were processed at large.
The investigations showed that these citizens, after providing the narcotics, mainly cocaine and heroin, sold them in different areas of Tirana, mainly in nightclubs. Also, some of these citizens procured the narcotic substance cannabis and tried to sell it near some schools in the city of Tirana.
