The Ambassador of the United States of America, in our country, Yuri Kim, in her speech at the conference on the topic “Judicial practice of the Supreme Court, from national identity to universal values”, stated that during the years that she has been in Tirana, has done a great job on this.
Kim has stated that during these years it has been achieved that the Supreme Court is now functional with 16 members and the remaining 3 vacancies must be replaced as soon as possible to ensure the deserved justice for the Albanians. Among other things, the American diplomat has emphasized that with the increase of trust in justice, we will have an increase in international credibility and an increase in investments.
“Today’s challenges are different compared to what your predecessors faced. It’s been 3 years since I’ve been here, and I’ve met Albanians from all walks of life who have told me that they want justice, a reason to make the country livable.
You can feel that the Albanians’ initial doubt is being replaced by cautious confidence. The high court has many things to be a member, today it has 16 members and the remaining 3 vacancies must be replaced as soon as possible.
The USA is proud to support the experts in these matters, the Albanian people deserve justice given in time. It is important that we help achieve and care for them. Guardians of justice reform want it to fail. The Justice Reform is really working and all of us together, the Supreme Court, the USA, the EU and other partner countries must stay united, but in the end it is the Albanian leaders and the implementation belongs to Albania, and we will continue to support you.
