The American ambassador, Yuri Kim, congratulated Vlora Hysen for the position as director of the Albanian Information Service. In a meeting they held today, the American diplomat and Hyseni talked about the importance of cooperation between Albania and the USA in national security.

The two agreed on the importance of strong U.S.-Albania cooperation in national security and intelligence. Ambassador Kim also expressed support for new efforts to ensure Albania is able to effectively face challenges.
Vlora Hyseni officially took over the leadership of the State Intelligence Service at the beginning of April. President Begaj approved the proposal of Prime Minister Edi Rama. In this position, she came after serving as deputy director of the Intelligence Agency of Kosovo, for no more than 4 months.
