On Tuesday, September 5, the Court of Tirana has left 40-year-old Marsela Pushani in prison, who is accused of stabbing to death her sister, Armanda Pushani, in Tirana.
The court session was held behind closed doors, while the lawyer of the perpetrator of the crime asked the court to grant the measure of “house arrest” and change the qualification of the offense in “exceeding the limits of the necessary protection”.
We remind you that the incident happened two days ago (September 3) on “Hajdar Hidri” street, while the family initially reported to the police that the young woman died of natural causes, but after the autopsy it was discovered that the 37-year-old woman had died due to wounds with knife in the stomach.
The perpetrator of the crime, Marsela Pushani, by profession a teacher in a school in the capital, has been arrested by the Police as the perpetrator of the event, while the crime is suspected to have occurred because the victim was alcoholic and aggressive in the family.
In the disclosed testimony, it is learned that Marsela Pushani said that she acted in self-defence, after the 37-year-old had threatened to kill her and her mother.
“I acted in self-defence, she threatened to kill us. For more than 10 years, Amanda Pushani was an alcoholic and problematic. We argued with her to give up alcohol, but Amanda threatened me and my mother”, said the 40-year-old when she was questioned by the Police.
