Alma Kaçi appeared this Thursday in the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO), where the request for replacing the security measure is expected to be examined.
The 40-year-old woman has demanded the replacement of the measure ‘house arrest’ with ‘investigation in free state’. At the end of last month, Kaçi gave clarifications to SPAK prosecutors about the intimate video where he appeared with the former mayor of Kukës, Safet Gjici.
The latter was arrested on June 24, 2023 in Tirana for passive corruption after allegedly favoring Alma Kaçi by offering him financial support, by decision of the Municipal Council, on a project for sheltering and caring for stray dogs in the city.
The 40-year-old herself has admitted that she wanted the dog tender from Gjici. Both have claimed that they had an intimate relationship with each other before talking to the state office about tenders and favors and after they had sexual intercourse.
