VLora Police Director Ermal Muçaj has given details regarding the anti-drug action in Vlora, which led to the discovery of two “grow houses”, in which 6 people were arrested and two were declared wanted.
The operation started at 11:00 on 09.02.2023, at the same time, in the neighborhood “10 Korriku” and in the village of Kropishte, in Selenicë.
“Based on the information provided that in some premises, in the neighborhood “10 Korriku”, in Vlorë, and in the village of Kropishtë, in Selenica, narcotic plants were cultivated using lamps, on the morning of 09.02.2023, the investigative and operational structures of the Directorate Local Police Vlorë, in cooperation with the Vlorë Police Station, have organized and finalized the police mega-operation coded “Indoors”,” informed the Director.
Operational agents have kept under surveillance the villa in the name of citizen L.Xh, in the 10 Korriku district, due to suspicions that there was illegal activity inside it. While the villa was under surveillance, the brother-in-law of the owner with the initials L.Z came running to this villa, who was being pursued by the employees of the Vlora Police Station and the “Eagle” forces, as he was suspected of having attempted to kill a citizen with a firearm , in the neighborhood “10 Korriku”. At this moment, it was intervened and this citizen was caught in the yard of the villa.
Then, they forcibly opened the villa of citizen L. Xh., where they found that its first and third floors were adapted for the cultivation of narcotic plants, and for this reason, they declared wanted the owner. Also, citizens E. B., 26 years old, working as an electrician for OSHEE Vlorë, and G. M., 44 years old, working as an accountant for OSHEE Vlorë, were detained. From the control on both floors of the villa, 534 narcotic plants cultivated in pots, 11 kilograms of narcotics in the form of bottles, 5 ventilators, 4 aspirators, 3 air conditioners, 100 reflectors, 23 heating plants, 69 lamps, 6 air filters, 1 shotgun, 3 mobile devices, 1 vehicle and other items used for the cultivation of narcotic plants using lamps, were found.
The operation continued in the village of Kropishte, where during the control in a premises owned by the citizen D. K., 87 lamps, 12 small electric transformers, 6 electric fans, 4 air conditioners and plant material suspected of being narcotic cannabis sativa were found and seized. As a result, the Police arrested the citizen D. K., 45 years old, and declared his brother wanted , the citizen P. K., 55 years old. As a result of the actions, citizens N. Dh., 39 years old, with the duty of invoicer of OSHEE Vlorë and F. Ç., 34 years old, with the duty of responsible group of electricians of OSHEE Vlorë, were arrested.
