Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has arrived in Tirana today.
Around 08:30, the Acting Foreign Minister Gent Cakaj hosts Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu in his office.
According to Turkish media, Cavusoglu said that will be discussed bilateral relations with Albania and opportunities for co-operation.
Regional and international issues are also expected to be discussed at the meeting.
The two countries will also discussed the path towards opening negotiations.
Turkish media have mention the fact that the Turkish state has stayed close to Albania during difficult times such as the November 26 earthquake.
Regarding the ongoing meetings of the Turkish Foreign Minister today, he will hold a meeting with Speaker of the Parliament Gramoz Ruci at 11.00.
As for Prime Minister Rama, no meeting has been scheduled between him and Çavuşoğlu on the media agenda. /abcnews.al
