The State Police has made the balance of the month, helping for a tourist season as safe as possible. It is known that 378 citizens were arrested and 25 of them were wanted internationally.
So far, the Traffic Police has arrested 143 drivers, of which 104 for driving while intoxicated and 39 for driving without a driver’s license.
Also, 374 driving licenses were suspended, of which 171 for exceeding speed limits, 65 for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages and 138 for other violations of the Highway Code, for which this administrative measure is provided.
The State Police is maximally engaged to guarantee order and security, for the intensive follow-up of national mega-operations aimed at the rule of law in the territory, of operations with partners and law enforcement agencies inside and outside the country, to fight organized crime, as well as to cooperated with citizens to create a safe environment.
At the same time, the State Police is determined to deepen the process of self-cleansing, removing from its ranks those workers who abuse their duty and violate the rights and freedoms of citizens or abuse their duty by becoming parties to the crime, and in this context invites citizens and the media to report to the free number 112, any such case and any case of illegality, guaranteeing a quick, professional and legal response.
