The session of the Security Council of the United Nations (UN) today will be chaired by Albania. The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has emphasized that this is one of the most important sessions of the last decade.

Albania has assumed the presidency of the UN Security Council from September 1 of this year.
According to the rotation of holding the presidency, this is the second time, after June 2022, that Albania chairs this Council.
