Two people were arrested by the Tirana police this Thursday after being accused of selling expensive goods without a tax invoice.
During the operation coded “Sahati”, as a result of the continuous monitoring of economic entities that sell their products online, it was found that the two citizens who were arrested store administrators were selling their goods without a tax invoice.
As part of this operation, 2 stores that sold watches and other accessories were tracked down, online and in physical units in the capital. During the checks in one store (not registered with the tax authorities), with a 52-year-old administrator, 195 watches of expensive brands and 19 pairs of glasses were seized as material evidence, while in the other store, with a 44-year-old administrator, they were seized with the quality of material evidence, 33 watches of expensive brands, diamond and gold accessories, as well as 5,100 euros, 2,000 dollars and 121,400 lek suspected of profiting from this criminal activity.
Also, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office, for the employees of the Tirana Local Tax Directorate who cover the areas where the shops are, on suspicion of non-performance of duty.
Meanwhile, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further actions.
