Eight people were arrested in Tirana as part of the police operation coded “Last bet”. They were put in handcuffs after exercising the illegal activity of placing sports bets, through mobile devices.
Arrested are Oligert Rozani, Fatjon Spahiu, Ergys Shollo, Bledar Mici, Alban Balliu, Nexhmedin Tola, Ilion Mile and Olsi Hasa. For 3 other people, the criminal proceedings were initiated while they were at large.
During the checks carried out in the subjects of these citizens, phones were found that were used for placing sports bets and links that were used for these bets. Furthermore, in most of the phones of these citizens, tabs and credits were found, in order to place sports bets of different customers.
During the operation, 10 mobile devices used for placing sports bets were seized as material evidence.
