After the failure of two rounds, the Constitutional Court is expected to hold the third round of voting today to elect its head. In the competition are Fiona Papajorgji, Marjana Semini and Holta Zaçaj.
None of the candidates in the first two rounds received the majority of legal votes, out of 5 such. The Constitutional Court has nine judges in its composition.
“The meeting of judges of the Constitutional Court has decided to hold the third round of voting on February 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.,” the announcement states.
in the first round, the voting result:
Fiona Papajorgji – 3 votes
Marjana Semini – 2 votes
Holta Zaçaj – 4 votes
In the second round, the voting result:
Fiona Papajorgji – 3 votes
Marjana Semini – 3 votes
Holta Zaçaj – 3 votes
If the third round also fails, then the head of the Constitutional Court will be chosen by lot.
