The Court of Special Appeal has decided in the Counseling Chamber not to accept the appeal of the family members of the victims of January 21.
The family members had appealed the decision of SPAK, which transferred their complaint to the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office.
With this decision, the case of January 21 will not be investigated by the Special Prosecutor’s Office, ultimately passing it to the Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana.
Even earlier, the families of the victims of January 21 have expressed their disbelief that the case can be resolved in a regular court.
During the protest of January 21, 2011, Aleks Nika, Ziver Veizi, Hekuran Deda and Faik Myrtaj were killed.
