The Ambassador of the European Union to Albania, Christiane Hohmann, this Wednesday in her speech at the National Council of European Integration said that Albania is on the right track and hopes that in December the answer will be positive.
Among other things, Hohmann stated in her speech that Albania is in a good position but still has a lot of work to do.
“This is the first year that we have taken the first step and put Albania on the path of the EU and unfortunately this will be the last time as the head of the EU and allow me to make a general resume.
Albania is in a good position but there is still a lot of work to be done. You may have heard that the member states will receive the report regarding this report that will be considered opening negotiations in the hope that they will happen in December.
Until now, there are plenty of Albanian personnel in many institutions in Brussels as it has become their second home, the reflection of colleagues is important, the Albanian teams are doing very well, they are prepared and this is the achievement of the personnel leading this session”, said the ambassador of EU.
She also stated that the main focus in this journey is strengthening the judicial system and increasing their credibility among citizens. Among other things, the European official emphasized that it is important that the Albanian institutions do not stop but precisely fulfill the reforms undertaken.
