Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office has announced that it has seized the Tirana incinerator.
SPAK announces that it is investigating within the criminal proceedings for the criminal offenses of “Fraud with serious consequences” in cooperation, “Abuse of duty”, “Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials”.
It is also learned that the “de facto” owners of the incinerator are Mirel Mertiri and Klodian Zoto. According to the announcement, Zoto and Mertiri built it by presenting fictitious invoices that are estimated up to 400 million ALL.
SPAK has also seized an asset worth 1 million euros in the city of Durres, which was owned by citizens Mirel Mertiri and Klodian Zoto.
