Klodian Kapedani, arrested by order of SPAK, for vote buying in Kavaja, is said to have been discovered through wiretapping.
Sources from the investigative group confirm to ABC news that there have been no complaints from citizens or political entities about the 39-year-old, but he has emerged from the telephone tapping of several other persons who are under investigation by SPAK, but for other criminal offenses that are not related to buying and selling of votes.
The phone calls and text messages were registered a few days before the elections, as well as during May 14, the day when citizens were voting.
In these conversations, the amount of money that Klodian Kapedani would give to the citizens he contacted to vote was not mentioned, but he left the meeting place to give them the money.
According to the sources, Kapedani supported the candidate of the “Together We Win” coalition, Fisnik Qosja, who was declared the winner against the former mayor and socialist candidate, Redjan Krali.
