Prime Minister Edi Rama told what he discussed with the head of the White House at the EU Summit in Madrid. Rama said that with Joe Biden he discussed Albania’s role in the Security Council, but also the possibility of organizing something on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of relations with the USA.

However, the head of the government added that this is an issue that remains to be discussed and that there is a possibility that it may not be done.

What the prime minister spoke about is the role of Albania in the international arena. According to him, in this respect, our country is 100 percent something else, and for that he is proud of himself and his team.

“I am involved in every conversation. The essence is, more or less, the assessment of Albania’s role, especially in the Security Council, and the conversation about the need to organize something together since we are in the 100th anniversary of the establishment of relations with the USA.

You know Biden’s involvement with Kosovo, his knowledge of the Balkans, he also knows Albania in detail. Let’s see if we will organize something for the 100th anniversary. How remains to be discussed, maybe not even done.

Albania in the international arena today is 100 percent something else compared to what it was. In this field we are 100 percent, something completely different and I am very proud of the work we have done. It’s not just my job, it’s a contribution, a role played by everyone else. From Bushati, to Olta and beyond,” said Rama.
