Prime Minister Edi Rama will start today a two-day official visit to the United Kingdom, where he will hold a series of important meetings in the framework of cooperation and strengthening of relations between the two countries.
For the first time, Prime Minister Rama will be welcomed to a meeting by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in his office, where they will discuss current issues of international politics, as well as strengthening cooperation, through intergovernmental agreements, in areas of mutual interest.
Prime Minister Rama will visit the Parliament and will be met by the Speaker of the Assembly of the United Kingdom Lindsay Hoyle, as well as be invited to the Royal Institute of International Relations, in a conversation with the audience.
Important discussions on cooperation in fields such as the economy, education, environment, etc. will take place in high-level round tables, such as the one on the university partnership between the United Kingdom and Albania organized by “University College London” and “British Council” and the main British universities, or the high-level round table on business, energy and the environment with representatives of the main companies in the United Kingdom.
Prime Minister Rama and the accompanying delegation will participate in the official government reception on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of relations between Albania and the United Kingdom.
