Police vetting process to begin in November

The Police Surveillance Agency will conduct the police vetting process throughout the month of November. It is reported that the sessions will be open to the media and the public.

According to AMP, the first two lots have been cast on the division of assessment bodies, the appointment of the substitute member and the relator member, as well as the draw for the assessment subjects.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the Evaluation bodies in the Police Supervision Agency are nearing the end of the relevant files in the three evaluation pillars for 9 subjects.

“The Police Surveillance Agency continues with priority the work for the development of the transitory assessment process of the entities defined by law no. 12/2018, “On the transitory and periodic evaluation of employees of the State Police, the Guard of the Republic and the Service for Internal Affairs and Complaints in the Ministry of the Interior”, amended.

After casting the first two lots on the division of the evaluation bodies, the appointment of the substitute member and the reporting member, as well as the drawing of the evaluation subjects, the Evaluation Bodies in the Police Surveillance Agency are nearing the completion of the relevant files in the three evaluation pillars for 9 subjects.

During the month of November 2023, open sessions will be held in the presence of the media and the public.

Interior Ministry and AMP assures the media and the public that the vetting process continues without interruption, in full implementation of the deadlines defined in the law and in fulfilment of the public’s expectations for institutions with high integrity in the service of citizens,” it is said in the announcement.
