Prime Minister Edi Rama congratulated US on its 247th anniversary of independence this Tuesday. In his social networks statement, he attached some photos taken yesterday during the reception ceremony of the former American president, Bill Clinton in Tirana.
“Happy 4th of July America. God bless you”, wrote the head of the government next to the photos on Facebook.
Clinton arrived yesterday at noon at Mother Teresa Airport while being received by Prime Minister Edi Rama in an official ceremony on the “Martyrs of the Nation” boulevard.
Rama honored the former American president with the Star of Public Recognition, emphasizing the role he played in the liberation of Kosovo. Clinton won the hearts of Albanians in 1999, when she convinced NATO to bomb Serbia and liberate Kosovo.
That decision changed the course of the entire region, but especially the lives of millions of Albanians in Kosovo.
