Prime Minister Rama will travel this Wednesday to London, where he will stay for 3 days on an official visit and will be hosted by his counterpart Rishi Sunak in their first meeting.
The two heads of government had earlier a telephone conversation on the issue of illegal Albanian immigrants, as well as exchanged remarks through the international media.
British official Suella Braverman labelled the Albanians as criminals, while Rama government condemned the language used by official London, sending a verbal note through the ambassador.
Rama had called the discussion in the English parliament as an internal failure of the government to manage its borders, while the British published figures saying that Albanians topped the list of those entering the island in rowboats and dinghies through the Channel Tunnel.
Now, Rama and Sunak will meet face to face to talk about the British policies of returning illegal immigrants and the implementation of a bilateral agreement for their repatriation.
Topics of cooperation in the fight against organized crime, as well as the strengthening of economic exchanges and support in foreign policy, will be part of the talks between the two senior officials.
