Traffic to our website last year showed that interest in Albania increased by more than 60%, compared to the pre-Covid period.

Albania is clearly a future travel region for Germans, with its beaches, its culture, the vibrant city life of Tirana and the short flight distance to Germany. I believe that the launch of cooperation in tourism between Albania and Germany is an excellent match”, said the event host.

During the discussions, the participants agreed that Albania has an excellent potential in the German market and showed interest in what Albanian tourism can offer in the future.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Rama, as he took the floor said among other things that the goal of the Albanian government for the year 2030 is for Albania to be the champion of the Balkans in tourism.

“Let me tell you that I never, never, never thought of having the pleasure of being with so many journalists who are not interested in politics, but in life. This is outstanding and thank you for it!

Second, I never would have imagined going out to lunch with 4 people and there I found 40 people. This is a good sign, maybe Germany is warming up.

Third, Germany is breaking protocols. It’s a really good sign.

Today I came because finally, we have, not only a very good presence here, but we have something to show and what to say to invite people to come.

It’s been a long road. We had to start from a really bad position and practically with many prejudices that we had to fight. It is not finished. but the fact that you are here shows that we have moved in the right direction.

Albania does not only have beautiful beaches or coasts or extraordinary mountains, but it also has genuine hospitality and a warm atmosphere within it”, said PM Rama among other things.
