A serious crime that took place in Shkodra, where a dead body was found on Thursday in Boks village in a canal, has been solved, as announced this Friday.
Police revealed that initially, it was thought that it was a natural death, but the examination of the corpse showed that the citizen Musa Bajraktari was killed, after being hit with an axe.
Suspected perpetrator, citizen Xhemal Zeqiri, has been arrested by the local police of Shkodra and the weapon used to commit the crime has been seized.
Meanwhile, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the Shkodra General Jurisdiction for further actions.
“As a result of in-depth investigations, carried out immediately after the event that occurred on 19.10.2023, in the village of Boks, Shkodër, where the dead body of citizen M. B., 70 years old, resident of the village of Kullaj, Shkodër, was found in a canal, for who was previously suspected to have lost his life, due to natural causes, the crime investigation specialists of the Shkodër Police Station and those of the Shkodër Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the District Prosecutor’s Office, made it possible to clarify and document the event, for which the citizen was imprisoned:
– Xh. Mr., 60 years old, resident of the village of Kullaj, Shkodër, for the criminal offense of “Deliberate murder”.
From the evidence provided, it is suspected that the 60-year-old man, after a conflict for weak motives, hit the citizen M. B. on the head with a cutting tool (a bag), who, due to the blow, fell into the canal of the village of Boks, where he was found dead afterwards”, informed the police.
