The President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, met this Tuesday the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, where he emphasized that the new Kosovo government has every opportunity to be a positive example of good governance in our region.
In this meeting, the head of state assessed the relations between Albania and Kosovo as excellent and brotherly.
“Cooperation between the two countries is considered strategic, stabilizing for the region and orienting for the Euro-Atlantic perspective.
We must concrete the Strategic Partnership with Kosovo, making it a model and encouragement for regional cooperation, ”said President Meta.
President Meta said that Albania supports Kosovo-Serbia dialogue for normalization of relations between the two countries.
“In this context, the efforts of the US and the EU to resume the dialogue between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia are welcomed.
It is important that all Kosovo’s political forces are united around a comprehensive platform in this process, ”said Meta.
President Meta expressed full confidence that Kosovo’s institutions will continue to represent Kosovo’s best interest in the dialogue with Serbia.
